During your stay with us our
welfare officer will do everything that they can to make your stay more
comfortable and organise any sports which you would enjoy taking part in
or watching for the very active and not so active. The participation in
all our sports activities is totally voluntary with many to choose from.
They enjoy organising matches between classes and
host families and teachers in the local parks.
Parks
are a vital part of Milton Keynes' and Northampton. Thousands of
acres of parkland bring the countryside and wildlife within easy reach of
residents and visitors, providing a variety of landscapes and ample spaces
for recreation.
A series of free leaflets are available on circular walks through the rural parts of the
Borough and we also organise a programme of free, guided walks for all ages. Willen Lakeside Park is
host to a variety of exciting water sports and leisure activities. Water sports
tuition is available in dinghy sailing, canoeing and sail boarding. You will also find picnic and play areas,
a trim-rail,
Willen Mini-Bowl, cycle-hire and a miniature steam
railway at weekends. Explore the old village of Willen or attempt to find your way
around the cyclists' labyrinth.

Ten Pin Bowling, Quasar Laser Game Centre. The MK Olympic
size ice rink is home to the Milton Keynes Ice Hockey team and recently
the London Wimbledon soccer Club have chosen MK as their home.
Funpools with
flumes, rapid water etc are also available for all sorts of water
fun and swimming. Ride through the picturesque hills from the Pony trekking Centre. There are also numerous
opportunities for horse Riding. MK table tennis centre is
the best purpose built table tennis venue in the UK, intended as a centre
of excellence and community resource for the sport.
There are numerous 18 hole Golf courses around the Borough as well as 9 hole courses, night driving
range and putting green.
